Last night I was invited to attend an event hosted by Ocean Drive Magazine at the beautiful Adrienne Arsht Center For The Performing Arts. The event was a fashion showcase of the Spring 14′ line of CUBAVERA.
I attended with my date, my best friend Syrel, and my coworkers. Yummy drinks were provided courtesy of Barcardi. My favorite was the pineapple rum with pineapple juice. SO good! Of course I had to have a Cuba Libre as well.
The event partnered up with Miami’s design school to showcase some cuban inspired designs students came up with. My favorite was the red dress and men’s jacket. Absolutely stunning in person.
The Night didn’t stop there though! Cubavera entertained it’s guests with a musical performance by Spanish band AXIS. The were fantastic! After the music, there were flamingo dancers and my favorite part a fashion show of the Spring 14′ line!
I would be lying if I said I didn’t love love love the new line. It was fresh, classic, fashionable and perfect for Miami. The linen dress with scarf belts the ladies wore were fantastic and my favorite part were the “wedding” inspired dresses and jumpers. The men’s wear was equally as great with beautiful linen suits and pants.
I had an absolute wonderful time at the event and it was a fantastic way to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month! Make sure to check out Cubavera for yourself here : www.cubavera.com !
