Happy Tuesday my fashion disciples! It’s Spring time and the weather is border line brutal in Miami so I’m trading in my jeans for rompers and shorts. This lace number is the perfect spring color and I paired it with the ever growing trend of gladiator sandals in gold! Let me know any other spring time looks you’d like to see in the comments below. xo
A month later I am finally getting around to sharing my images with you all from my uh ma zing trip to Chitown. I headed over to the Windy City with my two best girls and the city did not disappoint us. We absolutely loved the city, the people, the food, everything. Only thing we didn’t like was the cold, and yes I am from Miami and I think 60 degrees calls for boots and a leather jacket, but this was “OH MY GOD MY FEET ARE GOING TO FREEZE AND FALL OFF” cold. We Miamians just had to go to Chitown on the first snow storm on the year where temperatures dropped to 9 degrees and where the snow was so intense while we walked that I was positive I was going to meet my maker that day (dramatic yes I know). Regardless of almost dying, the city did look beautiful blanketed in snow and snow called for a style shoot, obvs. Details on the outfit are below and some extra pictures of the chitown madness. Till next time loves!
As a woman who struggles with thick, wavy hair, lots of it I made add; I am constantly battling frizz and lack luster natural hair. I love products that aim to help make your natural hair beautiful and helps women embrace the curls and waves they were born with and the search for such products came to an end with Made Beautiful. I received these products to test out and never did I think I would like them so much.
Made beautiful is a line committed to helping their customers embrace their beauty and love their hair, body and themselves. How can you not love that motto?
Each product in the line is au natural & free from parabens, sulfates & all those chemicals which give your hair a slow , slow death. The products are made with shea, honey, coconut and mango and let me tell you something, the smell alone made me obsessed with the line. Each product smells like a tropical island getaway in a bottle and made my hair smell just as good. So be warned, you WILL start sniffing your strands randomly after using this stuff and yes, you will look weird doing so. The products are also labeled with the specific hair type the product will help. I especially loved this because it takes the guessing game out of buying hair products not knowing whether it’s the right fit for your hair type.
Mine is 2C for wavy, others include :
CURLY ~ CURLY COILY ~ COILY
3A/B 3C 4B/C
After figuring out which products were right for me, I settled on using the Moisturizing shampoo, Nourishing Leave in Conditioner, Conditioning Styling Creme & Quench Curl Refresher. Out of all of those the Leave-In and the Curl Refresher are my absolute favorite! My hair looked so healthy and shiny and frizz was at a minimum. My waves looked refreshed, more defined and most of all healthy. Being a color addict, all the dye takes a toll on my hair and I really felt that this helped repair the damage and keep my hair hydrated long after it had dried.
All in all I give the line a huge thumbs up. I loved it! Try it out and let me hear your thoughts!

Taking full advantage of the one “chilly” day we had in Miami so far, I immediately reached for my cheetah hat and new pink knit sweater blouse. The weather must have gotten to my head though, considering the only full body outfit picture we took was the one in my mirror….whoops!
Knit Blouse: G.H Bass&Co , Hat: Target, Necklace: TJ Maxx, Watch: MK, Jeans: Forever 21, High Heeled Black Boots: Nine West
If you’re anything like me, you shop endlessly only to realize that your newest purchases don’t fit in your closet. This calls for a closet clean out. I do this 4-5 times a year. I clean out and reorganize my closet with things that I’ll actually wear. I get rid of items that are worn, not in style, don’t fit, etc; When I’m all done, I have about 6 bags usually full of purses, clothes, shoes and accessories! What do I do with all this? I SELL IT. Yes, I sell it back to none other than Plato’s Closet. They give me cash and I can go shopping for new items, total win win.
Plato’s Closet is a store that buys and sells latest trends, clothing and accessories for teens and twenty something guys and girls. They have locations all over the US! I really do love this place because it’s easy and they give you money for your clothes. I’ve gotten up to $350 for my stuff once !
How It Works:
1. Bring in your gently used brand name clothing and accessories.
2. A buyer will review your items while you check out the store or you can leave and come back.
3. The buyer will create on offer for you based on style, condition, brand and store’s stock levels.
4. You can accept or decline the offer. Once you accept it, you leave with a handful of cash and a happy feeling.
You can go online and see what your local Plato’s is buying so you have a better idea of what to bring. This is a great option for everyone who needs some extra cash instead of just throwing the clothes out or giving it away.
Now I will say sometimes they rip you off. But, I just decline the offer and go on my merry way. If you are bring top designer items, bring a receipt or something to prove it’s authentic, they’ll give you more money that way!
Have you tried Plato’s before? Let me know whatcha think!
